In 2009, I captured this image at an old ghost town called Shaniko outside Oregon. It was the off season but the caretaker was kind enough to allow me to photograph some of the old buildings throughout the property. This image is a composite of 2 images. The wooden window from an old barn taken in 2008 and the old shacks and windmill taken at Shaniko in 2009, then stitched together in photoshop. The image was finished with an edged border created in the OnOne Software program outlined with a simple black line. Shaniko is a great place to bring the family...a step back in time for sure!

I wanted to add a complimentary piece to go with the 'Red Ripe and Juicy' image. I totally created this piece from 2 original pears on a paper plate sitting outside on my deck ledge. Taking the file into Adobe Photoshop, I recreated the background with lots of hand drawing with my Wacom Tablet and applying a bit of painterly effect on the background but leaving the pears nearly intact. I think they do look 'Perfectly Pear'd."

While hiking in the Red Rock Canyon area of Nevada, I shot these timeless Petroglyph images with my Canon G9 Powershot camera. Working in Adobe Photoshop I used various tools and software on the image and then burnt the edges in a border software program giving it the look of an old map. It seemed to render credence to an ageless moment in time and gave it the perfect finish.

Poppies found within Kunde Vineyards along Highway 12 in Sonoma County near Kenwood, California. Original digital image taken and creative version finished in 2012. I like to think that I was allowed to capture these beautiful poppies to remember the beautiful woman behind the scenes, Sarah Lee Kunde, who passed away early in 2014. She was a remarkably generous woman known to so many in the Wine Country area of Sonoma County and one who will never be forgotten for all her contributions in our local agricultural industry.
